Sydneysiders may not believe it but Melbourne has replaced Sydney as the number one Australian city to live in, in an international survey of the world’s most liveable cities. One of the top gripes about Sydney is its transport problems while spiraling costs of living and general unhappiness have also helped to move Sydney down from number 7 to number 11, and push Melbourne up to number nine from number 11. Cities were rated not only on housing and transport but also on architecture, culture and even the possibility of getting a glass of wine at 1am, with Copenhagen coming first, followed by Munich.
