Kelly Services is proud to be the headline sponsor of the 2009 Executive PA
Magazine Awards. Recruiting savvy professional support is where it all began
for Kelly Services more than six decades ago. We understand the magnitude
of expectations and significant contribution delivered by Office
Professionals, at all levels.
A top PA is highly capable of being flexible, resourceful, highly
confidential, self confident, self sufficient, organised with the ability
to manage up, down and sideways to get things done! Top PAs manage every
aspect of a vibrant executive's daily requirements to enable a smooth
running and efficient local and/or international schedule. Three words to
succinctly describe these talented professionals - Tenacious. Flexible.
Diplomatic.
5 hot tips for aspiring PAs:
- Make your Boss look good.
- Never disclose your Boss's shortcomings to anyone but your shrink.
- Be a self-starter and impress your Boss by doing what they asked for
first, then showing good work in an advanced area to prove that you
can handle it and want to take it on. - A good memory is your best friend - but write everything down and
have your notepad and pen with you always. - Get experience in all facets of business, even if you don't want to
work in other areas - it'll make you better at your target career.
Judging the "Up and Coming PA" and "Executive PA of the Year" for 2008 was
tough. Each individual displayed great passion for their profession and
demonstrated outstanding business acumen with clear career aspirations. It
was our pleasure to support and deliver the Executive PA of the Year Award
in 2008. We would like to wish all entrants the best of luck for 2009.
