Employers consider qualifications to be less important than having a broad range of life, work and social skills, according to Business Council of Australia, who says it’s being ‘job-ready’ that matters. So when it comes to revamping your CV you should stress less about your educational achievements and instead focus on the skills that you can bring to the role – reaped from all areas of your life. After all you can’t take exams in multi-tasking, keeping a calm head or networking – but these are all key areas of any PA’s role and so when it comes to impressing a prospective employer make sure you highlight all of these sort of transferrable skills and ensure you can demonstrate them with examples garnered through other jobs, volunteer experience, running a household or keeping in touch with friends and family.
